Pane Glass Services — Trusted Since 2009
From a shattered patio door at 11 pm to a frameless shower screen sealed before the grouter returns — our diamond-wheel cutters and silicone guns are ready when you need them.
The storm hit at 2 am and left a crack running the full width of our sliding patio door. I called Pane at 7 am and by 10:30 the glass was out, the frame cleaned, and a brand-new toughened pane was seated and sealed. I couldn't believe they had the size in stock.

How fast can you board up or replace broken glass?
For genuine emergencies — storm damage, break-ins, cracked safety glass — we aim to be on-site within two hours during business hours. Overnight calls are boarded securely the same night and replaced with permanent glazing the following morning. We carry the twenty most common toughened and laminated sizes on every van, so most residential replacements complete in a single visit.

Frameless screens (10 mm or 12 mm toughened glass, polished edge) give the cleanest look and are easier to clean because there are no aluminium channels for soap scum to hide in. Semi-frameless suits tighter budgets or where the wall substrate isn't perfectly plumb — the channel hides small alignment gaps. We'll measure and advise on-site; if the wall is more than 5 mm out of plumb we'll tell you before we cut a single sheet.
Get a free quoteWe'd been living with a frameless shower screen that leaked at the bottom seal for six months. Two other glaziers quoted a full removal and refit. Pane's tech spotted the silicone had shrunk on one edge, stripped and resealed it in forty minutes, and charged us a fraction of what we'd been quoted.

We manage forty-two units across three buildings. Tenant turnover means chips, cracks, and the occasional full break-in replacement. Having Pane on speed-dial means I can call Friday afternoon and have a storefront or apartment window fixed before Monday morning. They invoice monthly, which saves my accounts team hours.

Do you offer accounts for property managers and landlords?
Yes. Property managers with three or more units qualify for a Pane Trade Account: consolidated monthly invoicing, priority scheduling (we slot trade calls before retail bookings), and a dedicated account contact who knows your building stock. Setup takes five minutes over the phone. We also keep a digital log of every unit's glass specifications so reorders never require a site visit for measuring.

Can you turn around custom mirror panels on a contractor deadline?
Custom mirrors — bevelled, frameless, back-painted, or with cut-outs for power points — are cut and polished in our workshop, not outsourced. Standard lead time is two to three working days. For contractor emergencies we offer an overnight rush service: measure by 2 pm, panels ready by 7 am next morning. Rush fees apply. Call us before 2 pm and we'll confirm feasibility on the spot.
Get a free quoteThe retail fit-out had a Thursday handover. The contractor who was supposed to supply the mirrors cancelled Tuesday morning. I called Pane at 8 am, they measured on-site by noon, cut and polished six full-height mirror panels overnight, and had them installed and edge-sealed by Wednesday at 4 pm. Handover happened on time.

Our shopfront got a brick through it at 3 am on a Saturday. By 6 am Pane had a glazier here with a full board-up. By Monday lunchtime the permanent 10 mm toughened glass was in. The whole block noticed how fast we were back to normal — it mattered for our reputation as much as security.

Do you do after-hours and weekend commercial glazing?
Our emergency line operates 24 hours, seven days a week. After-hours board-ups are a flat call-out rate plus materials — no weekend surcharge for the board-up itself. Permanent replacement is scheduled as the first job the next working morning. We carry commercial-grade polycarbonate boarding for after-hours situations where a toughened glass replacement can't be completed safely in the dark.
Get a free quoteCan you repair leaded lights and heritage stained glass?
Yes — we have a specialist who works exclusively with historic glazing. Cracked quarries (individual panes within a lead came panel) can usually be replaced with matching antique or restoration glass sourced from specialist suppliers. Re-leading a full panel is quoted per square foot after inspection. We don't replace heritage glass with double-glazed units unless the client specifically requests it and the planning authority permits it.
Get a free quoteThe Victorian terrace we bought had original leaded lights in three bay windows. Every glazier we asked wanted to replace them with double-glazed units. Pane came out, repaired two cracked quarries and re-soldered the lead came on all three panels without touching the original glass. The heritage value is intact.
